Planning work with projects and allocations

Set up projects, allocate people to work, and see capacity at a glance.

resource planningprojectsallocationscapacity

Stride helps you plan who is working on what and whether you have the capacity for what's coming. The planning hub is the Workload & Timeline page.

Create a project

On Projects, choose Create Project. Give it a Project name and a unique Project code, a Start date, and at least one Department (required). Description, end date, owner and team members are optional and set by an admin. Tasks are added afterwards, from the project — not during creation.

Allocate people

On Workload & Timeline, choose New Allocation and allocate a person to a project for a date range, as an Allocation % of their capacity. Stride shows a Capacity Assessment before you save and warns if it would overbook. (Allocations and the capacity view are a Growth-tier feature.)

Read capacity

The Capacity Ledger shows each person's Allocated and Available hours and a status of Available, Full or Overloaded for the selected window.

Track time

On Time Tracking, people log actual hours on a weekly timesheet whose rows come from their allocations. Entries move Draft → Submitted → Approved.
