Setting up compensation and pay schedules

Set up compensation, recurring deductions, and semi-monthly or monthly cutoffs in Payora before you run payroll.

Before you run payroll, Payora needs to know how each person is paid and on what schedule. HR sets these up.

Compensation

Add a person with Add Employee (or Import CSV for a batch). In the Compensation step, set the Compensation amount, the Salary basis (Monthly, Daily or Hourly) and the Effective From date. (Government IDs and bank details are part of the employee's record, entered in the Personal and Employment steps.)

Recurring deductions

On an existing employee, the Deductions tab manages recurring deductions — an SSS Loan, a Pag-IBIG Loan, or a Custom deduction — as a one-time or installment amount, charged every cutoff or once a month.

Pay schedule and cutoffs

Set your pay schedule under Payroll → Policy → Pay Schedule. Choose a Payroll Frequency of Semi-Monthly or Monthly, set the cutoff date(s), the processing days after cutoff, and how paydays on a weekend or holiday are handled. A 12-month cutoff preview shows the resulting dates.

Note: the "Schedules" item in the sidebar is for work/shift schedules, not pay schedules — cutoffs live under Payroll → Policy.
